DirectCare of Elkins
DirectCare of Elkins, a walk-in clinic for busy people is located in the Elkins Plaza on the Beverly Pike, next to Bob Evans.
Patients with acute, non-emergent conditions like sore throats, and ear aches; and unexpected injuries like burns, sprains, strains and cuts can be seen at DirectCare on a walk-in basis.
DirectCare is open seven days a week according to the following schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
- Saturdays, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
- Sundays, Noon until 4 p.m.
Madonna Varchetto-Bonner – PA-C
Madonna Varchetto-Bonner has been a physician assistant for seventeen years in a busy medical practice, with advanced experience in family practice and pediatrics. She was a registered nurse for seventeen years prior to earning her physician assistant degree and certification, working fifteen years in the operating room and two years as an acute care nurse.
Terri Poling
Terri Poling, a family nurse practitioner, also sees patients at
DirectCare.
She has been a healthcare provider in the region for 15 years. Poling
earned her
associates degree in nursing at Fairmont State College, her bachelor's
degree in
nursing at Alderson-Broaddus College and her master's degree in nursing
at West
Virginia University.
Varchetto-Bonner and Poling work under the supervision of Dr.Andrew Talkington, a family practitioner at Buckhannon Medical Care in Buckhannon. Dr. Talkington earned his medical degree at the West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed a residency at Charleston Area Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
