Broaddus Medical Staff

Staff member at deskBroaddus Hospital's highly qualified staff of physicians provide optimal healthcare services. In addition to being caring members of the community, our caregivers are certified in Basic Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Broaddus Hospital Emergency Room Physicians

  • Dr. Jody Ackerman earned her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internship and residency at St. Luke’s Hospital. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Practice. She has been on the medical staff of Broaddus Hospital since 2006.
  • Dr. Barry Barrows earned his medical degree at the West Virginia University School of Medicine; he completed an internship and residency at West Virginia University Hospitals. Dr. Barrows is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been affiliated with Davis Health System since 1999.
  • Dr. Eric Anger earned his medical degree at the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at West Virginia University Hospitals. Dr. Anger is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
  • Dr. Randall Turner, a healthcare provider for more than 20 years, will serve as director of the emergency department. He earned his medical degree at the West Virginia University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine and is a diplomate of the American Board of Ambulatory Medicine.
  • Dr. Jason J. Valls earned his medical degree at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at West Virginia University Hospitals. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
  • Dr. Peter Baltusnik earned his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Medicine and completed an internship at West Virginia University Hospitals.
  • Dr. Frank Abraham earned his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at West Virginia University Hospitals. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
